The great thing about 5,6 & 7-year old’s is that they are often open to learning new skills, proactive in seeking out new ones to master by using videos, tutorials or copying their peers, motivated to master tricks to impress their friends at school or teammates and associate the ability to perform skills with scoring goals! We’ve put together a list of skills that 5,6 , & 7-year old’s can perfect focusing on 3 core areas: ball manipulation, turns and skills to beat players. These are all fun to learn and can be practiced at home, but best learnt in a professional environment. In no time child will be out-skilling you, their siblings, friends, defenders, opponents and speeding through the back garden or pitch! We’ve also included a step-by-step guide to each of these skills at the end of this drill. The mission of the K.R Football Leaders Club Curriculum is to enhance the soccer experience of young players within our club. The game is the best teacher and learning revolves around both playing the game itself and watching top class players. The following curriculum has been designed using qualified coaches. We have created a progression for the soccer player based on the four pillars of the game: technical, tactical, psychological, and physical.

K.R Football Leaders Club main goal is to allow players to develop in a low-stress, fun-filled environment. Here are simple steps to
follow in order to run a successful and fun practice.
1.) Keep things brief and simple. Remember players at this level have a very short attention span.
2.) Make things fun! Your energy and enthusiasm needs to come through in every practice.
3.) Use your imagination. A successful coach with this age range is one who can make his/her session relate to how the young player
views the world.
4.) ALL players should be given plenty of opportunities to succeed and there should be sufficient progression throughout the session to
keep ALL players motivated and challenged.
We remember to succeed in coaching players in this age range, you must have:
- Patience – they will not get things straight away.
- Persistence – sometimes, minor changes are all that is needed.
- Flexibility – recognize when something is not working and change it.
- A sense of humor – laugh with your players.
- A very positive attitude – give generous praise often.
- And lots and lots of energy – play with your players.
Learn To Train “THE GOLDEN AGE”
The grassroots programme advocates exchanges and sharing human values and, of course, promotes the pleasure
of practicing our marvelous sport. Of course, not all young players will become the stars of the future and they do
not all have the skills required to become professional players, but K.R Football leaders club always look for his or
her over all development in life.
K.R Football leaders club programs leverage the universal appeal of soccer as the platform to reach adolescents
during this critical time. Using soccer as the hook, we engage adolescents in making healthy decisions making through
our Three C’s: an adolescent-friendly and evidence-based health Curriculum, the supportive influence of local mentor
and role model Coaches, and a fun, inclusive, and positive Culture.
Adolescence is a simultaneously exciting and tricky time, and the adolescent brain, particularly the frontal cortex, is
still developing; this means adolescents are more likely to engage in risky behaviors and less likely to consider the
consequences.
Structure that provides a simplified overview of the Framework? development pathway of U11 grassroots players
related to the four game models and player ages, based upon goals, needs, key qualities, player actions, and
player/coach behaviors
FRAMEWORK AS A HOLISTIC APPROACH
• Input and consideration for all interconnected aspects of the game, the player, and the desired outcome will relate
to stages of cognitive, motor, and psychosocial development
• The combination of growth, maturation, and learning lead to a higher level of functioning
• Learning is the process by which experience results in change in behavior
• Children of different ages will process and reason information in different ways.
Learning plan with content designed to meet the needs of the learner addressed over a specified period of time
through a standardized teaching methodology that builds through a succession of stages in a long-term process of
continuous progress.

INTERMEDIATE – U - 13
K.R Football Leaders Club created a distinguished series of Youth programming that ensures the
development and progression of the youth (recreational, competitive, or elite), collegiate and professional
soccer player. Using a specialized player curriculum and developmental model created through intensive
research and extensive analysis, K.R Football Leaders Club provides a wide variety of options for players
of all levels, giving each student the opportunity and skill set to become the complete player.
Each environment is strategically structured to focus on the essential fundamentals, movements, and
repetition needed to cultivate the self-worth and awareness necessary for each student’s development
within the game.
K.R Football Leaders Club has developed a player curriculum and developmental model that focuses on
the appropriate progression of the technical, physical, tactical, and psychological aspects of the soccer,
which drives what K.R Football Leaders Club likes to establish as the “quintessential learning and training
environment” for the complete soccer player.
Research, analysis, and analytics, K.R Football Leaders Club has created a robust curriculum designed
to emphasize three critical elements within the game; balance, first-step, and availability. Through a
systematic approach and specialized methodology, K.R Football Leaders Club creates an environment
that promotes the development of fearless, intelligent, and creative players that not only have the
confidence to process and execute advanced movement but also enhance the quality and speed of each
player’s decision-making ability in complex environments.
INTERMEDIATE – 11 & 12 YEARS OLD
At this stage, training sessions are orientated more toward tactics and the player will practice in bigger
spaces. Players must practice all different types of techniques at this stage. Strength and endurance should
be part of the fitness training. Coaching methods have to consider and preserve players’ health since they
will be experiencing many changes due to puberty at this stage. Warm-ups and cool downs are essential as
is dynamic flexibility. Players must develop discipline at this stage by following the instructions of the coach
both during and outside training sessions.
It goes without saying that it’s of the ultimate importance that coaches working with players this age has
knowledge and understanding of all these aspects to be able to guide youngsters through this critical
development phase in a well-considered way. While during the puberty phase players’ physical and
technical development temporarily stagnates or loses ground, their intellectual development
accelerates as does their understanding of and appreciation for teamwork. This makes the Game
Training Phase exceptionally suited for developing tactical awareness and insight. Whereas the purpose
of the Skill Acquisition Phase is to acquire the core skills, the Game Training Phase is about learning how
to apply them in a functional way. In the Game Training Phase, the focus shifts towards learning to play
as a team and developing an understanding of the team tasks during the main moments (attacking;
defending; transitioning), as well as the specific tasks that go with the individual team positions. To be
able to properly develop the team tasks and the individual player tasks we need the context of a playing
formation. After all, team tasks and player tasks may differ depending on the playing formation.
In K.R Football leaders Club “There was a clear emphasis on a possession-based philosophy and most
employed a 4-3-3 model with an explicit attempt to pass the ball through the units. There was a tangible
difference in the type of work delivered to the players from what is typically delivered at soccer Clubs
and academies. Early age players typically participated in random and variable practices that involved
decision-making tactically. The consistent Talent ID criteria was centered around the player’s ability to
handle the ball, make good decisions and speed, as opposed to the notions of power, size and strength
that still dominate the English youth system”.
ADVANCED STAGE – 15-, 16- & 17-YEARS OLD Players at this age have completed most of their physical and mental
development. All components of training can be combined and organized with the purpose of developing the highest
potential of the player. The strength of the muscles helps to develop technique at high speed and this speed helps the
player to react faster to tactical situations. This stage is crucial for combining all the components of soccer in order to
increase the players’ soccer knowledge. These are some of the facts in terms of human development adapted to
soccer. In this document these facts are used to develop the most appropriate training methodology for each age
group
At this stage of development, the young adults are ready for high performance training. Coordination is back, the
mental balance has been restored and the energy systems of the body are now effectively ‘trainable’. This is the
moment that football-specific conditioning can start. At an earlier age so-called ‘conditioning’ is mostly pointless and
generally a waste of time (or even dangerous if conducted inexpertly).
This is also the moment that winning really starts to matter. That’s why the purpose of the Performance Phase is:
Learning how to perform/win as a team So in the Performance Phase, the coach is very much focused on getting
results. Training, therefore, is centered on fixing specific problems with the team’s tactical performance.
The Football Periodization Model is based on the principle that it’s totally possible to get your players fit for playing
football by playing football. This aligns perfectly with our vision that a holistic approach to coaching is not only the
most educationally effective way but also the most time effective way. If done in the proper way, football training
automatically becomes conditioning and therefore it’s unnecessary and unwise to separate fitness training from
football training.
